Froze and then completly turned off

My PSVita froze during Ray man origins.  I thought the battery had just died so I charged it.  Now it won't even turn on.  The light is showing that it is on but the screen is blank. any ideas

Hold the power button down for 30 secs or more, this will turn it, you will then come to a screen with a few option on it, choose restart ps vita system, the other option i would only use in more extreme cases of crashing.
