did you deactivate your account?
I'm not sure if the format does this...

and make sure you take down the serial number of your PS3 - there are some scammers around on ebay...

just 2 keep u posted i sold it for £140 and bought a slim 250gb with uc2 and bioshock 2 then traded uc2 in 4 ***** as i had uc2 already

4 any 1 else with this problem heres a step by step tut 

1.find ur ps3 box
2.put it in and turn it upside down with the power and imput scoket looking at u
3.put a hairdryer on high and but about 15inches away and aim at the vents,(where u can see silver)
4.do this 4 15 min
5.open a window and leave 4 20 min
6.turn it on and keep hitting eject and power
7 it should turn on

8.disable ur accounts ,backup gamesaves,format hard  drive and sell it or trade it in
