I recently rented heavy rain , enjoyed it so i brought it. 

Now my saves are there on my ps3 but this version of heavy rain doesnt seem to want to load them for some reason?

It just starts up a new game even though i have 2 heavy rain save files on my system. 

Both discs had me download the 1.1gb update too. 

Any help would be much apreciated.

Is the version of heavy rain you rented different to the version you bought? (e.g standard/special edition)

Not as far as i can tell , i rented the first one which gave me like a 1gb update which basically made it compatible with move. And the second version is a collectors edition but it applied the same up date as the one before. Exactly the same update same size and everything, which as far as i can tell was purely just to make the game move compatible.

Was the rented one a collectors edition?  If not then this is why there is different save data files.

i found something that may be usefull....? - Heavy Rain SCEE BCES-00797 02/26/10 EU - Heavy Rain (Collector's Edition) SCEE BCES 00797/S 02/26/10 EU.

The one i have now is the collectors edition which came in like a paper case and paper case for the disc with the origami paper and someother stuff. 

The one i rented was regular edition , that's why i think i had the 1gb update to make it move compatable.

Which is why your getting a new save file. Different editions work on different save files with some games, in this case it appears to be so

That is pretty dumb , it's the same game and the same trophy list. Looks like im going to have start all over...perfect....
