Ty to all that can help..

Whenever I try to play online my PS3 freezes. If i sign in before I load the game, it wont make it to the game itself and will just get black screen.

If sign in on the actual game after its loaded, by going multiplayer then sign in it will just Freeze.

I can go on the internet on the PS3 like youtube or browse websites etc... so i know its not my internet connection. Im clueless what is wrong with my PS3. The PS3 version i have is the older models 60gb.

Can this be cause of overheating? Just had it repaired not long ago. Can play any games without crash just when i try to play online.

Any help is appreciated.

If you had it repaired not too long ago, you should still be covered by warranty, perhaps check up that alley.

Handily, because the PS3 itself isn't broken you will be able to perform a full backup of all your saves etc beforehand too.

Did u find any solution to the freezing issue? i have a similar problem when playing U3 multiplayer online. just now for 3 days. Get to play approximately 1 of 2 games. it finds players and the game is just about to start and then it behaves like a scratsched record. i have to turn the ps off and as a result i get my skill level reduced and loose 40.000 every time!
