Once again... It's the developers that would need to look into update for THEIR games...

Sony do provide ways of updating the PS3 if they are not online, you can download firmware

via PC and onto USB.

It also won't ever happen. Hackers get hold of data package for games it would be easy to hack and distribute to anyone whom doesn't want to do the right thing.

Not that it'll help you but the requirements for the PSN is broadband... If you don't have it you can't ask devs and Sony to provide a work around for that very small number of people... Australia already gets very little because we don't have enough gamers.

Not forgetting also the PS3 will be end of life in a few years, not going to change everything about how it works for end of life.

A gaming PC might be more up your lane... Updates are provided into a USB package.

I am also having trouble with updating my PS3 games but I live in the US. The thing is that my PS3 has trouble with the data and alwayshas an error when I download or update something. I have amazing internet connection as well. I have looked up the problem on Youtube and on other forums and there are thousands of people with the same problem. I am just hoping that someone could tell me how to fix this. I have already gone into safe mode and restored my corrupt data as well. Please help me if you have an answer. Thanks
