Jak and Daxter saves

ok so heres my question (and i apologise if this is in the wrong section please feel free to move it to where it belongs)

 

i have 2 copies of the Jak and Daxter collection

1 european and 1 japanese

 

ive been playing the european one and have save on all 3 games trophies ect ect

 

i got my japanese one today so i threw in the disc works fine but wont use my previous game saves from the european disc

now i started a game on each of japanese ones but got no trophies 

i checked the trophies lists through the home menu and the jap games were using what throphies i already had

im sorry if this is in any way stupid to you guys

im just alittle confused on the situation
