Played Lego Pirates yesterday with my 5 year old son in the morning, no problem.

Got an update later in the day when we were going to have another go, but after taking the update it would not load (black/blank screen).

After several attempts i tried deleting game data & took the update again, still no joy.

Deleted game data again & when prompted to take update pressed circle to cancel & continue without update, but still just got a black/blank screen.

We then decided to have a go on Lego Star Wars III Clone Wars as an alternative, but that wouldn't load either (there was no update prompt).

Ended up playing Lego Harry Potter without any issues, but what is going on with the other two games?

Lego Clone Wars was fine the last time we played (1 week ago) & as i said Lego Pirates was fine earlier the same day.

Has the update for Pirates now stopped my PS3 from playing both Pirates & Star Wars?

All other games are working fine, but these two will now not play since taking the 14MB Lego Pirates update

Any idea if there's another update on the way to fix this or if there's anything else i should try?

Anyone else having this problem?

Are the discs clean? free from scratches, dirt etc?

Discs are in tip-top condition, no one gets to put a disc in my PS3 except me, my son is not allowed near the PS3 at all

I saw someone else had the same problem on a US playstation community forum (sent them a mssg on PS3, still awaiting a reply), but can't really find anyone else so far

Didn't have any problems with either game until after the update

Weird, just tried both games again & they load without any issues 

Do not understand what the problem was, but hey, they're working now & my wee boy is happy so i'm happy too

I don't know if anyone can help but we have updated Lego Pirates and have not been able to play the game since, we have had no error messages the game just keeps either not loading at all or crashing this was immediately after we updated, we have also updated our Gran Turismo game and have te same problem when logging in on one profile but works when logged into another,

Is there a known problem with updates at the moment, as we've never had any problems before,

if you're stuck in this loop, sometimes deleting the game DATA (NOT the game SAVE data!) will force it to restart the update process again, hopefully working this time.

please be aware that some updates can be quite big, so make take a while to re d/l and install though (think this applies in particular to GT)

Still having this problem myself, trying to get Lego Pirates to load, it freezes when I try to load my save (It has since corrupted my save) and when starting a new game it would stick on the loading screen.

I've tried deleting the game data and also stopping the patch from loading by disabling the internet connection, it still stops every time i hit that first loading screen.

I should add I've had no problems with any other games loading or playing.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
