Success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to my brothers house last night and signed in using my psn unsrrname on his ps3. Booted up mw2 and it worked on his. So j was then thinking I needed a new ps3, went home, decided to try it again and it's all good. No trophy error, no freeze, all working!!!!

I thnk deleting the patch helped, savegame too. Although as for the actual solution, I'm at a loss. Tbh I don't care how it got fixed, just that it is!

Btw the disc is in perfect conditon....

all of the above happening to me. new ps3 slim. bought 3 months ago. formatting took 7 hours. same issue 8002291A error and forced termination. gonna try signing in at friends house...not happy.

Having this same issue, the game terminates due to "registration of trophy information could not be completed."

I have deleted my game data and deleted the patch. This has still not fixed the problem. Also no other game is doing this, just Modern Warfare 2.

it seems i'm not the only 1 to get this problem although i thought i was i don't wanna delete anythin in case i loose info i wanna keep 4 MW2.i 2 had the freeze problem and thought it was the disck but now i know it ain't,don't suppose your any closer to finding a solution???

i have the issue as well and i went to buy the game brand bew again thinking it was the disc but it still hasnt worked i still get the error code 8002291A
