The problem is that just about everyone on the planet (ok, slight exaggeration ) is trying to do the same thing, and the servers are melting.

It is incredibly difficult for money to go out of one place and not get to the other place - there are all sorts of checks and balances involved.
However, for a short while, this can APPEAR to be the case, if the receiver 'gets' the money but doesn't update the user accessible front end with the fact that it has got it.
With the servers running flat out at the moment, I'm putting 2 and 2 together (possibly getting 7!
), and thinking that could be what has happened here.
Again, if it hasn't sorted itself out by tomorrow, I'd suggest calling Sony direct to explain.

bit of a generic reply I'm afraid, as I don't know the exact answer, but Sony are definitely still working on it:

PSN is always a bit picky about accepting card details.
They need to be EXACTLY correct to even stand a chance of working.
If you try too often, it locks the card out (from PSN only) for 24hours.
Your other option is to buy PSN vouchers (high street stores, some supermarkets, reputable online shops
)
