PS3 Controller not connecting

My PS3 controller is not connecting.  If i hook it up to charge it shows its charging then the lights shut off.  When I take the USB plug out and press the connect button nothing happens, no lights come on.  I pressed the reset button and still nothing.  Please help!!

Whilst it's connected by the cable, press the PS button then. Then pull out the cable. See if that makes any difference.

Try pressing the reset pin on the rear of the controller for 15-20 seconds. You may need to connect it Via USB again afterwards but it should work again :smileyhappy:
