PS3 Controller not responding / charging / bricked?

Okay so last night I started my PS3 to watch a little bit BBC iPlayer, About 15 minutes later I realized my controller had died, so I plugged it back in expecting it to power back up, but to no avail... I have tried connecting it to the PC and still nothing.. I am wondering if this is a rare occurrence, if I can fix this myself and also if my warranty covers the controller(And if so, how do I go about getting it replaced.).

Thanks, if you need anymore information, just ask.

Are you sure it isnt fault in the cable as you dont want to send your controller off to find out the cable is broken =D

Thanks for the reply Braders292, yeah I thought of that also, I will go to my sisters house today and test the controller on her boyfriends PS3 using his wire, see what my results are. I will post back later. :smileyhappy:

if it IS fubar, your warranty covers the controllers too :smileyhappy:
try the shop first before going to Sony - some shops are better than others at swapping vs sending you off to Sony

* YLOD? * *PSN Connection Problems?* *Blu Ray Problems

And we weren't even testing for that..
