PS3: Deleting previous words used on internet search

8 Replies 56,288 Views Created 27-09-2009

Does anyone know how to delete previous words used on the internet search (virtual) keyboard?

I cannot delete the words I typed when I searched the internet (using the internet search button). The words remain on the R of the virrual keyboard. When i go in, I can delete previous words used in google for example (by deleting the predictive dictionary and deleting the history).

My PS3 is a communal one and I do not want other people to know what I have been searching ;-) Do I used the default settings button?

Any help welcome.

Re: PS3: Deleting previous words used on internet search

I have tried it. Deleting the predictive dictionary deletes the words used when "inside" the internet but not when starting the internet search....

Re: PS3: Deleting previous words used on internet search

May be other members could try it for themselves with the internet search by typing the word PS3 or something and see whether they can get rid of it when they next search?

Re: PS3: Deleting previous words used on internet search

Open up the "internet browser" and hit the triangle button to access settings. Click on tools on that list and if you scroll down you should see options that say "delete cookies" etc. Use those to delete your cookies, cache, and search history. Now if you go back to your search history, it should be gone. Smiley Happy
