I have a Bravia kdl37w5500 and new PS3 Slim but they wont Sync, I have tried resetting to factory setting but that doesn't work.  Can you tell me if this is a known problem and when a fix will be issued.  I have been on several forums and it appears to be a long standing issue that hasn't been fixed.  Any help would be appreciated

by "won't sync" do you mean you aren't getting a picture?

I'm guessing you are connecting via HDMI?

The TV and PS3 work fine but I cant use theTV remote for the blue ray player, any advice would be great

I understand the problem now - although I'm not 100% sure on how to fix it

But I do know that at very least to get this to work, you will have to have the 'bravia sync' function turned on on the PS3 (apols if you know that already!), which is somewhere in the Settings options from the XMB.
(not sure quite where as I have a phat, which doesn't have the option)

If only it was that simple, sync is switched on  for both TV and PS£ but not connections are found

Very frustrating but a few others have the same problem with no fix

Problem solved, I bought a new HDMI lead and the sync worked instantly
