PS3 Turns On and immediatly turns off. No Yellow Light.

I was playing the playstation and suddenly the entire system switched off. I waited for about half an hour as i thought i might have overheated. I then switched it off at the back and turned it back on. The red light came on fine, but when i touched the on button the light turned green for about half a second and then went straight off without changing to another colour. The same thing happened again when i turned it on again.

My PS3 is an old fat model if that makes a difference.

mine has done the same. did it friday night and still not working. did u fix yrs and what did u do.

that does, unfortunately, sound pretty much like the symptoms of a YLOD :smileysad:

go a youtube search for YLOD and compare other people's lights with what yours are doing :smileysad:

And we weren't even testing for that.. :Thumbs:
