I was downloading the updates for little big planet 7 in total as I had not played it in a long time while either downloading the 7th update or installing it, a corrupt data message came up I never thought anything of it but decided to pop uncharted2 in for a quick game it loaded fine but then the while connecting to the multiplayer mode the music repeated in a loop every few seconds then the online game wouldn't load so I booted the system and tried reloading but the disk icon does not show the blue light appears as does the circle in the top right hand corner but no game icon I tried the restore file option on safe mode to no avail anyone else been able to resolve this my warranty expired last October if I have to send it back to sony how much will this cost will I have to make a new psn if I get a new system? I bought it on a credit card and still have the receipt does that gave me any leverage with the store?
Appreciate any Help Thanks

sounds like the BD drive has failed, although there maybe other issues going on too
the fact that you have the receipt and paid by credit card stacks the odds of getting the shop to replace/repair you PS3 heavily in your favour

i think that is what the OP will have to do in the end, and personally i woldn't even be messing about doing system restores, although that may fix their other issues
