PS3 Wired Connection Error Challenge! - AKA Help pls

Hi Everyone! I've got an incredible issue with my PS3 and am hoping you guys are up for a challendge to help me sort it out as I've tried everything and looked everywhere for over 5 months now!

Please be patient and see if you can help me as Im heart broken. I used to be able to connect with the mentioned setup below and everything worked just fine and one day its just stopped and has never worked since. :smileysad:

The Setup:

(Fat) PS3 80gig Version just before the slim version Latest Update 4.00 Connecting to a Windows 7 - 64bit directly via Ethernet cable no router. Firewalls and antivirus are disabled. Internet connection is shared and enabled. (This is all i have available to me)

The issue:
Playstation Wont connect to Internet, either IP Adress times out and cannot be obtained or i manage to manually input it but i get a DNS Error 80710102.

My Attempts:

I've tried re installing windows, reseting ps3, manually entering IP Adresses, and used an insane amount of different suggested DNS codes from all other forums.

Connection Details for PC:

I currently live in SA using an Iburst USB Modem which has worked in this setup before.

Please help me guys you are my only hope.

Re: PS3 Wired Connection Error Challenge! - AKA Help pls

Hi,

It's a very unusual setup so I don't think you'll get any answers here.

If it were me, I'd buy a router and set it up the usual way.
