PS3 beeps switchs off and red light keeps flashing. What does this mean? CAn anybody help me

Hi djkyp,

Sorry to hear of your issues.

If your console's power light will only flash red, this means there is a non specific internal hardware issue.

We would suggest calling your local PlayStation Support Centre for options as to what can be done for you.

Thanx guys.  Will try and find an authorised repairer in Melbourne and see if this old 60gb model can be fixed. Its been such a good model and its the first problem ive had with it since day 1

the only "Authorised" way of getting it fixed is to send it back to sony, but it's damn expensive, I sent mine to Beetronix once it was out of warrantee, didn't even lose any data, and they were cheeper

PM me if you want to get it done in a shop. There's a shop in the north that charge $150 to get it re-balled. Or you can open it up yourself and re-flow it

Or u could just throw it in the freezer thats what i did ,works lika charm u herd it from ur boy yound disaster
