Its doing it once again for me, I've tried 2 other cards but it says they are invalid which they aren't. How pathetic is this?

Got the paper bank statement I ordered and tried putting the details in letter for letter in the same case letters as it was on the statement, as they were different to how it was displayed online and on the card (for example on the card itself it says "MR CRAIG E", but on the statement it said "Mr CE"), but still no luck.

Tried someone else's card here and it won't accept that either (also a Visa Debit). How frustrating.

well guys,

iv'e had this problem on and off now for a few days, i bought something online this morning, went to use it again straight after and it came up with the "credit card details are  incorrect, check your settings", so i did and they were fine, my account has been fine for over a year.

went to download some comics for the psp yesterday using go media to get into the account, bought some and then the the same problem, tried again a few hrs later and it worked fine, not sure whats going on with sony but they are really starting to get on a few peoples nerves

Part of me is wondering if the fact that mine worked was a fluke.

If i had any more dosh I'd see if it would let me add any more.

FYI i didnt go thru add card, I just went onto the psn store via my psp, opened the card and clicked add funds at the top (nothing was in cart at time) then just clicked on credit card and filled the detailsin there, I never went thru account management and add card.

The thing I did wonder about was that I did it at my mother-in-laws not at home, maybe worth trying to add funds the way I did or via a different net connection, unsure if either thing had anything to do with it.

The email I got back from Sony wasn'tover helpful it made no mention of them knowing about a problem or anything, here it is......

Hello I seriously hope you can help me, if not directions to whomever can would be greatly appreciated. I have a PSN login omegastoopreme@yahoo.co.uk and for the last couple of days it will not let me add any funds to my PSN wallet. At first it said the card details I had entered were not valid, despite them being registered already and used many times before with no problems. I gave the system the benefit of the doubt and tried to re-enter them, it then kept saying that the card was no longer valid i.e. expired which I know it isn't, so I thought I'd remove them completely and start fresh. Now it wont even let me enter them telling me I cannot update my card details and to contact technical support. I have confirmed there is no block on the card, all the details were entered correctly, and can only assume the issue is at Sony's end. I have checked some forums online and have found lots of other people who seem to be having the same problem. I really want to download TMNT Re-Shelled as its currently on offer for half price and am concerned that by the time the issue is resolved it will have gone back up. I have tried to top up by my PS3, my PSP, ad my PC by both Media Go and simply logging into my PSN account and get the same problem however I do it. I thought maybe the account became locked for a while so even let it til the next day to find the same problem. I've never had any problems in the past and really want to get this fixed. I never got round to calling them as it seemed to fix itself. I wont know if it was a fluke til I try to buy something else.

Tried going elsewhere and using the PSP, still no luck. It's particularly annoying as support say to talk to the bank about it, the bank says talk to Sony about it.

hey, i got locked out yesterday evening with the same error, had to wait till now (24 hours later) to update it again,,,,

the 24 hours worked for me,,,,but i had to put 2 spaces between my name and surname, dunno why that happened! kinda strange to have 2 spaces between my names,,,,,anyhow, maybe its something simple like that for some people here?

playstation really need to have a better help and support thing on this!

and psn european cards wud be great!! no fuss then, , , , , erm id like to think anyhow

Having the same problem with a card that was already registered and working, Lloyds Visa Debit. I might stick with prepaid cards in future.
