I am having trouble with my PS3, when starting up it comes up with the error
NO APPLICABLE UPDATE DATA WAS FOUND.
CONNECT STORAGE MEDIA THAT CONTAINS UPDATA DATA OF VERSION 3.73 OR LATER, AND THEN PRESS START AND SELECT BITTONS AT THE SAME TIME.
I have downloaded the latest version from the Sony website and put it on a USB in the folder PS3/UPDATE and named the file PS3UPDAT.PUP and it loads the update bit once it's restarted the error message appears again. I have tried this several time now. Please help!

The last ps3 I fixed with this issue, was down to a problem with the wifi/Bluetooth board. I replaced the parts and the update went through smoothly.
