PS3 won't read games and crashes

I have a 60gig PS3 ive had it since realease.

The PS3 wont read games but once in a while it plays a game and after 2 mins max the ps3 will freeze and nothing can be used. My playstation also doesnt play demos i have brought from the PS store. Does anyone know what could be wrong and if it would be worth fixing or buying a new ps3?
