Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that the PSN will be unavailable between the times below for scheduled maintenance.

Start time - 16:05 (BST)
Expected End time - 23:00 (BST)

During the maintenance users will be unable to access the PS Store (either by PC or console), Account Management and Registration pages.

Users who are already connected to PSN before the maintenance begins should be able to stay connected to the service.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Thats great how many people have been worrying that their ps3 is broke perhaps you could give us some warning before you do site maintenence put as a message on whats new a few days before very poor service

so why dont they just put playstation net work down for mantainance insted of error code 80023017 then we all know whats happened. simples

When I try to log in, I receive a very informative error message:
"An error occured". If you think this will cause me to think "Oh, I'm sure this is actually planned maintenance in disguise", I'm sorry to dissapoint you.

Searching for the error code brings me to this forum, where I find out that I can read about planned maintenance on the playstation news page! Very well co-ordinated...

Nice to know that we (the customers) are so highly valued. Instead of putting the update on what's new or saying PSN update happing. We all just get a error message. POOR SHOW!!!

My system told me when I tried to log in to use my netflixs that the playstation network was under maintenance. However I never saw anything leading up to now that warned me there would be a maintenace period.

Very upsetting.
