Playstation Store - PSP Downloads via PC

I am seeking some advice.

I recently purchased 4 classic games, CTR: Crash Team Racing, Everybody's Golf 2, Medievil and Crash Bandicoot. I also downloaded Wipeout following an introductory email from the Playstation Store.

I am awaiting a 4GB Memory stick to arrive (as apposed to the 2GB I currently have) and therefore realised I didn’t have enough space to download all of my purchases. I therefore downloaded Wipeout, Crash Bandicoot and Everybody's Golf 2. I downloaded the PC download manager as requested and connected my PSP via USB mode as instructed. I then downloaded these games onto the PSP.

My problem is having done this, only Wipeout works. I can view Crash Bandicoot in the XMB but when I select it, my PSP states the data is corrupt. In addition to this, I have a 'Corrupted Data' file, which I assume is Everybody's Golf 2 but rather than it being 144MB as stated, it is only 32KB. When I try to delete this block, after a long period of time (4-5 minutes), my PSP states the delete failed.

Given the small size of the file, I downloaded Everybody's Golf 2 again today, just to make sure I hadn't done anything wrong. I downloaded it a second time and I still get a corrupted data file but this time it is 144MB. However, this time I could delete it.

I would also like to say that I have a genuine PSP (no MODs), currently running Version 3.72 and using a genuine Sony Memory Stick. has anyone else experienced problems downloading full games from the Playstation Store and does anyone have any ideas what is going wrong?

Many thanks.

Re: Playstation Store - PSP Downloads via PC

I would suggest trying another Memory Stick. It appears the one you have is corrupted. Alternatively, try re-formatting it rather than just deleting the files manually.

Re: Playstation Store - PSP Downloads via PC

Yes...I've had the same problem. Downloaded wipeout no problem then I paid my money and downloaded another game (beats) but I get the same messages as you.....Corrupt data (and sometimes memory card unacessable)I have re-formatted the memory stick, I have tried downloading from another computer, Ive used another usb lead. I have downloaded to this memory card before so whats the problem? If my psp is corrupt, what do I do? Can a corrupt psp corrupt a pc?

Ive only downloaded from the playstation store, never run homebrew on it or anything so its nothing ive done wrong...This is bo**cks!! What a waste of my money!
