So I bought a new tv today..

Unfortunately when I do play on it, the gameplay is sluggish.. like it has a delay when I go left and right?

For example

Playing battlefield 3 felt like playing killzone. Kind of weighted .. response time was weird.

How can I fix this, please help! I dont want to end up trying to return my tv !

As I understand it, LG's "Cinema 3D" polarises odd and even lines to be viewed in alternate eyes, and thereby halves the vertical resolution (you see 540 lines in each eye instead of 1080, or 360 instead of 720 in the case of most games) of any 3D content. This takes some conversion time, and will likely lead to some video lag. Sure, the glasses are cheaper, but there is a price to pay.

If you're not using the 3D feature of the TV, then I have no idea. Maybe check your manual and see if there is a "Game" mode on the TV?

Im not using 3D mode ... may later, but I havnt yet.

Not to sure what is happening there, only thing I could really advise would be to try on a different TV to see if this issue continues, if you could find the exact same make of TV that could also be a good test, (maybe take your PS3 to the store you bought TV from if they have a display model).

You could also try a different HDMi cable, I believe there is v1.4 cables out at the moment, they are a bit more expensive but also better. I wouldn't go out and buy one, maybe try borrow a friends or next door neighbours.

If none of this works and it seems that the PlayStation is at fault give us a call & we can look further into it. If it is the TV, contact the TV manufacturer & they should be able to help you out.

i had that exact same problem !

when your selecting an input on your tv , go to the playstation input and press the blue button on the remote and name it as pc (this is not the same as picture mode) and the lag goes away =] only down side is that the quility of the image goes down by a tiny bit but it doesnt really bother me =] hope that helps
