Well ive just encountered a wierd thing that has happened a few times with my ps3. Well when i first turn it on the red standby light flashes red then an orange light, lights up and then quickly goes back to red but when i turn it on at the ps3 it turns on asnormal and then works perfectly fine it seems to only happen when i turn it on using the controller. Could anybody help?

From what you've said it sounds like there may be some sort of hardware issue with the console, however turning on via the console or the controller shouldn't make a difference.
