Singstore Songs & Replacement PS3

Hi,

I have just purchased a new 320GB PS3 move bundle as my old 40G model has finally given up and died on me.  Everything is working fine however when I put Singstar on and tried to download all my purchased songs I get told that the songs are already attached to another console.  Whats going on? I made sure that I de-activated my old PS3 and signed in with the same username and password however nothing seems to be working.

Contacted the customer care centre and the advise just told me that it was down to Sonys DRM policy and there was not much he could do...is this right?  surely there has  got to be another way around this as I have purchased over £90 worth of Singstar content..

If Sony don't want to help me with this then the console will be going back to Game and I will be getting a full refund .

Can anyone offer me any advise please?

Many Thanks

A lot of people have found the DRM an issue. It is the same philosophy that is applied to backups, all copyright material is ignored during the process. I have found this bit of advice in a search (obviously you need to use your local customer support #).

It seems Sony customer support certainly can reset the download. I read elsewhere it can take a week or so before the reset is effective .

Good luck

Re: Singstore Songs & Replacement PS3

Whoever advised you is wrong, ask to speak to a supervisor if you cannot get anywhere. As Velox_Telum suggests, the songs can be reset but it's not that quick.
