Hi, my psn ID is RoarOfTheEarth.

I too played a lot of the multiplayer and campaing, and then today i started having the 'infinite spinning ring problem'.

I've looked for a fix and got here, this was actually the first site i openned up, i read all the commentaries while trying to make the game work, reseting the Ps3 many times. And then i got it running, and i only did 2 things, in this exact order:

- Deleted Game data utility of Uncharted 3

- Installed the update 3.73 for Ps3 (which i didnt know that was avaiable)

Dude, what version of firmware you have got, before you updated into 3.73?

Just bought brand new PS3 bundled with UC3, 320gig HD running the 3.73 software....

Played the game fine yesterday, came to pop it in tonight.. all it does is give a warning.. then turn black withthe spinning ring. Arrrghhh...

So do i have to deelte the saved game.. or the whole game or what???

We have played it on 3D (and normal mode)... does that have anything to do with it???

hope we get some answers soon.. we are an Xbox family usually but were desperate to play this game so got the PS3 especially!!!!

this problem stinks of a fatal firmware error... i didn't have any problems on v3.70 but i've heard that 3.72 has the same problems and i am currently running 3.73 firmware and am having serious problems... even with games that i used to be able to play for hours with no problems... a dummy update which will dropback the firmware to the same as version 3.70 should be instigated as it seems to be the last working version of firmware.

its a shame that the ps3 doesn't have a dropback feature for non-mandatory firmware updates, as it could help to avoid messy situations such as this.

Damnit so this is a 3.73 error or an uncharted 3 error?  Seems like 3.73, I brought this up on the ND forums but if it's more general I suppose I should be talking about it here.  Either way it's unacceptable.

I updated my PS3 to 4.0 firmware , and my Uncharted 3 stopped working ! it stucks at the ring loading page , and does not go anywhere !I tried to delete all the game data in the game data utility , but still the same , the when I start uncharted 3 it stuck at the loading ring page !

any ideas ? please help me fix this problem , I am sure the disc is 100% clean, new , and un scratched , just got it two weeks ago and never eject it.

I tried to run another game disc today, and it works fine.

Been having the spinning disc problem for weeks. 

So today I tried to have another go at fixing it: 

Upgraded to V4.0 - no joy

Upgraded Uncharted to 1.02 - again no joy

Deleted game data - nope

Deleted save data - still stuck on spinning ring

I guess that's the end of my Uncharted 3 adventure then!

Now i have the Same problem, the ring is spinning and spinning.
For the first 5 minutes i look at this little ring and than i need to go (;€/);&;

Ok, just for the Support Team, maybe it is a needed information for solving this issue:
In the Time of loading Screen i can see that the audio interface is sending some stupied informations to me sony home Theater.
I have now tried everything from this post but nothing will help in this case.

Is there now an Solution or Not?

Ive played the entire coop campaign and the first chapter of the single player. Now ive got the infite spinning ring problem and trust me ive tried everything to solve it. It makes the weird noises, sends audio info to my home theater the whole package! It would be interesting to know wich country youre all from to see if this is only a euro problem.

For info, this is the only configuration I have tried. Seeing how many cases there seem to be, I resisted fruitless experimentation.

I have only tried Campaign, and after creating the initial save game, the ring starts spinning, audio abruptly cuts out, and that's all the happens. After 30mins or so, I quit the game via the ps button. The system freezes, then reboots.
