I too am getting similar problems however, I don't see the point in being so grumpy like every poster before me.
The console automatically restarted itself, as nature intended, after the update and after I updated the console I felt like playing Wipeout HD for a little while before going to bed. Then I went to bed but couldn't sleep and now I'm back downstairs hoping to watch Never Mind the Buzzcocks on the iPlayer before going back to bed again. Only, the new TV section disappeared until I done what was said above: updated PS Home and it was back again.
I have all the other services like ITV/UTV, 4OD, etcetera, still on the system linked in My Channels. I just have to redownload them but that's better than not being able to use them until Sony fixes this bugged patch I suppose. I'm also expecting for the TV menu in the XMB to disappear overnight whilst the console is turned off. But I'll just I don't know, do something and it will miraculously come back, I suppose.
Something fishy about this here update!
Oh and I don't like the new iPlayer. Please give us the old one back? I giv u hug?

mine has gone aswell i only have lovefilm left under TV section
So when downloading the update, the icons were there but have now disappeared? If after downloading the update there were no icons, they will automatically appear (you can start the software to prompt this).
Is this the issue you're referring to?
