Hi, i have problem, since I buy BF 3, I cant play this game, everytime ask update first ( version 1.01 must update). I tried many times to download and failed with error 80029564! Have power cycle router & modem no luck, delete file corrupt done, even I change my PS3 HD (format & restore) incl, safe mode, - menu still no luck, also I already had call to this number 1300365911 and get same answer - no help :-( :-( now I'm desperate

Can any body help me, please?

this is the third time you have a download corruption problem. Who is your internet service provider? What brand and model is your router/modem?

Not the third but eight time now and all failed. My ISProvider is 3 mobile broadband. And I use this provider since sept 2009 and work with PS3 before until oct 18, 2011 (FW 3.73). I have two router now (belkin and netgear dgnd 3700) and netcomm 3g router. Yeah you are right, because I'm confuse where I must ask about this. I'm in Melbourne.

Hi ISetia.

Unfortunately 3 mobile broadband is not supported with the PS3. You will need a fixed broadband or cable internet connection to access the PSN successfully. You may be able to connect the console with this type of connection although you will experience issues.

Oh really?, since when? honestly, before I can use 3 mobile with my ps3 work fine.

Hi ISetia,

the issue isn't that it dosn't work (although nine times out of ten it might) but that it isn't supported. This means that if you rang Sony support and told them you were having troubole with your 3G connection (which you are) they wouldn't be able to help.

I think your problem is related to "proxy caching". Who knows what they have in the way of infrastructure at 3. Also, are you really running two routers?

What are the results (all the results) of an Internet Connection Test?

Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Test

You could try ringing 3/Vodaphone to see if they have any ideas (but I think you'll find they don't support PS3s)

I don't know who came up with the term "mobile broadband" but he must have been an oxy moron.

Hi ISetia,

In regards to your issue, I would suggest to go into the Game Data Utility and select Battlefield 3 and delete it and try again.

In regards to the USB / Wireless Modem, in some circumstances that it does work but it is not recommended.

The reason of this is because these devices can have tendancies to drop the connection from time to time and with certain games and download patches that the file size can be so large that it will case more corruption when using the USB/ Wireless device.
