I have trouble getting good audio quality from Vidzone.
I have the audio through hdmi to my tv, then from the tv to my amp through an optical lead.
All work fine normally, games, movies, blue ray, even the ABC iView video streaming, but not in VidZone.
The audio is quite distorted, most clips (like boom boom) sound rubbish. Buzzy base and just fuzzy bad.
Using the basic left/right two channel audio leads direct to the amp work ok, but of course not as full surround in this format as the best method (described above).
Any other ideas/similar experiences?

Rexel99,
to eliminate the TV as the source of the distortion, take the optical lead out of the TV, and plug it into the PS3 instead. You will need to set the audio options to both HDMI and optical - see the manual for details.
If this works, then you may need to invest in an optical switch, and another optical lead, to restore your TV audio output feed to your amp.

Thanks, yeah sorta expected to try and test that, with expense and even if that worked, no real joy...
But it would still raise the issue, why is all other audio from the PS3, through the TV ok as it is, except for VidZone audio?
Why would that be any different to anything else produced by the machine or apps including games or especially the iView video streaming?

I have the same problem myself. Have you found a solution? Might it just be bad quality on the videos streamed from Sony?
