My controllers keep disconnecting tried different ones and same problem. If my PS£ is faulty I am not going to be a happy bunny. Only had it since christmas 2010 and couldnt use it for four months due to sony;s inneptitude and since then only use it once in a while for BR and the odd game as my 360 gets used all the time. If its faulty will never buy another sony product again.
Im soo pi***d right now.
Had nothing but trouble since I my wife got it me for christmas. A high end product like this should last years......
Id be interested in a response $ony.
Never had this many issues with both my xboxs *current one is 4 yes 4 years old and still going strong (used 3-4 hours a day and sometimes a lot more) ive probably used my PS£ an average of 2 hours a WEEK if its lucky.,...

By "Dropping out" do you mean that the battery is running out, or that they are randomly disconnecting?
In order to get the most out of your controllers you should charge via the USB on the front of the console until the lights stop flashing.

yes theve been charged not using the usb points which are working Ive also done a reset which has half solved the issue but they still keep freezing.
Personally since the hacking issue which happened less than a month after me having the PS£ and the general lack of care and attention sony handled the whole issue plus the issues im now having on a machine that really hasnt been used much Im less than enamoured with the whole thing. The one issue I had with my xbox (ring of death) microsoft sorted with no hassle at all and very quickly indeed. I was impressed the differences etc on my ps£ but the reliability etc and the whole cost of everything just feel like its serious money completely wasted.

game carries on controller is unresponsive lights still on then they go into reconnection mode and reconnect all in a few seconds duration.
Try running the safe mode recovery menu option 3 restore file system rinse and repeat then option 4 rebuild database it will check the file system and operating system for any corruption and hopefully fix any problems.
Details in this link below.
