had my ps3 connected to my hdtv via hdmi for a few months and all was fine. then one day turned on the ps3 and no picture, connected via scart and all ok so i adjusted the settings manually to hdmi turned the tv back to the hdmi channel and just got a blue screen. phoned sony and they said faulty unit so i took it back to the shop and got another new one, same problem no picture via hdmi only scart. took the ps3 to a friends and connected it to there hdtv via hdmi and the ps3 connected straight away with the tv, asking if i wanted to adjust settings to hdmi which i said yes. took the ps3 home connected it to my tv and got no picture so had to connect via scart. only other thought was that the tv was faulty so plugged my hdmi dvd player into the tv and they connected fine. i have tried resetting via holding down the on/off and also done a reset via settings but all to no avail still no picture via hdmi ?
any thoughts on what the problem could be, it's just frustrating having a bluray player and hd games but not getting full use out of ps3 as only on 576.
