Sony aint fixing any more, refurb or if its out of warrenty some pc shops might fix it.

seems to depend on who you get to talk to and what model PS3 you have.

laser fixes have been coming in at between £99 and £130 - and some people get refurbs, some get to have their own one back fixed (obviously takes longer)

BD drive units can be had for about £48 off Ebay, i've got it down to about 30 minutes to fit them

its not a hard job to do, needing just 3 different screwdrivers 

maybe i should go into business
