just bought a ps3

hi i just bought a ps3 at a garage sale and i went online set up my whole account but when i tried to play call of duty my ps3 said i had a bann on it but this was the very first time i played it i was wondering if there was any way i could get it removed

That's a risk with buying second-hand consoles I'm afraid - if it's a console ban then the only people who would be able to lift it are Sony themselves, and even then you'd have to prove you're not responsible.
