for some strange reason my ps3 (slim) wont find or even connect to the internet, my internet connection is fine because i can use my laptop and anything else that uses a connection
its a wireless connection ive tried plugging in the enthernet cable but thats no difference either
i have entered the connection settings several times and tried different settings but still no change
so i wonder if anyone can help? also my wireless controller wont stay connected either it will work when its plugged in using the usb but as soon as i unplug it goes off
so any help please im wondering if its the wireless part in the ps thats gone? its worked in the past
And whilst they MAY both have failed, it's unlikely
I'd start off with safe boot mode, option 3 - see link below, but be sure to read about the implications of choosing the wrong option.
Note that occasionally, a second safe boot may be required, choosing option 4 this time.
Option 4 WILL remove some (less vital) stuff - see above link for details.
Backup of game saves are always a good idea though, just in case.
You have 2 options - individual saves to usb stick, or a full backup to external usb HDD
i bought the ps3 on the 2/9/09 so i cant take it back to he shop, do you think i should ring sony and see what they say? if so whats the number?
If that doesn't work then ring them back and they will see what they can do
will not connect to internet since updating to 3.50 and keeps saying that email and password not valid although will connect to online manual internet connection is ok on pc and laptop
Is there a solution to this then ?
Same problem for me since downloading the update. Says my sign in details are incorrect and Playstation store not available in my region yet internet works fine.
