whenever i turn my ps3 on (80gb fat w/ backwords cap) it says hard disk file is corrupted. i restored my file system atleast 10 times now. any suggestions on what to do?
new hard drive? and my ps3 has had the ylod before
The HDD, the component of your ps3 that stores all your data.
You can find instructions on how to change it in the ps3 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuyQPW3bDS0
And you'll need to buy one that is ps3 compatible, the easy way to do this is just to search "ps3 hard drive" on a shopping site
any way to transfer my saved data? and thank you
If it is your HDD that is the issue, then unfortunately there would be no way to back this up. The HDD would have to be backed up prior to any fault developing (via an external HDD for instance).
The only way to back it up now would be if you were able to get the HDD working without removing any of the data, but it does sound like the fault could lie here.
