ps3 wont switch on!!!

When i try to switch on ps3, it stays red for few seconds, u can hear it trying to load, or trying to eject a disc, i think there may be more than one disc loaded in it, think their is disc's jammed in it, light stays green for few seconds, then goes orange and red, wont let me switch it on, plz help by replying with some advice for me, got 4 angry kids here, that can't play on ps3 now, they are all devastated over this, will appreciate your quick response.

what model PS3 is it?

If it's the old style, you MAY be able to force eject the disc - read my YLOD thread (linked from my sig below) on how to try that.
