question

i was wondering if my ps3 get broken for whatever reason, can i reactive my psn account with another ps3, and still have all my trophies and progress?

how long is the average life of a ps3

also, im pretty new to these forums, where can i find my question quickly?

Yes, you can activate your PSN (now SEN) account on a new PS3, but keep in mind that if you go beyond two activations, you will have to disable some of the old ones.

Trophies are connected to your PSN (now SEN) account, and all you will need to do is sync on the new console after you've put your games in. Saved games will only be available to you if you have Plus and have the saves stored in the cloud, or if you have a backup of your (not copy protected) saved games from your old console. It is wise to keep a backup. You can also connect the two consoles with an ethernet cable and do a direct transfer of everything. The manual will explain more about that.

As for life expectancy, that depends on the model of the PS3, how well ventilated it is, and how you treat it. Slims last longer than the original models.
