"The credit card information cannot be updated..." HELP!!

"Please check the information on record and the usage status of your credit card , and then try again in a few days."

My PSN account is a UK one. Yesterday I filled in my credit card info but I could buy mw2 map packs because my card had no funds on it, so today i went to the bank and added 20£ to my credit card. Now, after I tried buying the map packs I got this error? What does this mean? Should I wait a while and see if it's solved? Please help me

Hi EarthNeutron2,

 

Have you contacted the bank to check there are no restrictions on the card for things such as online purchases? Also has the card been used on the PSN before?

Nope I don't think there are any restrictions on my card. I've used it on iTunes before. And no, it was never used with psn till now

The message you have received would usually indicate a card restriction, or bank having a restriction on the card. There are various security checks which are done on your bank card after putting the details onto your PSN account. Provided these details are correct, and you still encounter this issue - this may be whats happening. The best bet is to try in a few days and if you encounter these issues, to query with the bank.

Wait 2-3 days and try again. If it doesn't work, go to the bank and see whats holding it up.
