but whenever I tried to copy my save games my new ps3 says it's that the saved games are corrupt. They are not locked for copy

the process that I was talking was to first make a backup of the older ps3, so I can restore it later
then, transfer the system with transfer data utility and the restore the previous back that I made to the older ps3..

could this work ? :smileyfrustrated: I'm afraid to try it, I don't want to mess up with the data of the old ps3

Like i said, the backup does not copy DRM protected data.

 

The actual transfer utillity doesn't just copy data, some data is copied, other data is moved. Any DRM protected data is moved, when moving it it is deactivated and deleted from the previous PS3.

I've managed to solve the problem, I was able to connect to internet and update the games, after I did that, the saved games were corrupt :smileyhappy:
