Re: sony failstation network

Sounds like it's your ISP's fault and not Sony's.

Re: sony failstation network

The broadband works perfectly.  The problem is when I try to use PSN.  Xbox live is working fine. Laptop internet connection is fine.

The thing that isn't working is PSN.

Thanks for your help though.

Re: sony failstation network

Do other people use your connection? Have you got other things using the broadband when you try to download?

Having multiple systems running on the one connection at the same time will usually slow your broadband down.

Also what is your speed supposed to be. Do a speedtest and see what you are actually getting compared to what you shoud be getting

Having a working internet connection to a laptop or XBOX Live doesn't rule out an ISP or router setting problem the PSN uses different network protocol ports than XBOX Live.

Could be a few things to look at wireless strenght/quality routers UPnP function not working adequately or even your default DNS settings not allowing traffic through properly.
