sony tablet s support

I realise this is not the best forum for this is not the perfect place for this but hopfully you will be more helpfull than sony small device support.

My question is, why havent you made a firmware update that allows the nz sony tablet s sync with the ps3?
You advertise it as being playstation certified but they are not compatible. I cant even read the playstation emails you send me. I want to be able to control my ps3 when im watching movies and download my ps1 games like your advertisments fool peopleinti this is possible.
I thought it was going to happen with this last update but I was wrong again.
Can you please tell me when this is planning on happening?

Re: sony tablet s support

Hi, unfortunately we need a little more information as to what the end result your trying to achive, to be.

Currently we are aware that you can use the tablet as a "remote control" and more recently with a recent update use a and pair up a six axis controller.

However my information on that part is a little vague and from my understanding you need a double ended mini B cable which I am not aware of being made yet or not.

If you could get back t this spot with more details we can endevour to try and find something out for you.

Re: sony tablet s support

Thankyou for your quick response.
The sony tablet is a great remote for all my IR controlled devices. This issue I see is a simple update for the tablet software that includes blutooth control and an option to select ps3 as the desired remote to simulate.
Your right about the fact that you can sync a six axes controller to the tablet aswell you just need a male micro to male mini usb cable. This feature is a good idea but currently the oly ps1 game I have is the crash bandicoot 1 game that the tablet came with. This is due to the fact that you cannot access the ps store from the tablet and download games. You also cannot usb link the devices and copy the games.

Re: sony tablet s support

Not a problem at all but from what I am aware the Blue tooth idea you mentioned I have not heard of so maybe thats something they may do.

As for the app check with android as I belive the created the app for us and they may know whay its not working for you.

Re: sony tablet s support

The Tablet only supports a limited amount of content which I'm assuming will grow over time. The content currently is only limited to PS1 titles. You can download an app that allows you to access this aspect of the PS Store that will list all compatible titles that can be downloaded.

It's not fully compatible in the sense that you can download everything that is in the PS Store into the tablet. To be honest I don't think it will ever be like that.

Re: sony tablet s support

Hi there,

Firstly, make sure your tablet has the latest update. It should automatically be included in the update.

The app is simply called 'PS Store'

Re: sony tablet s support

I am running android 3.2.1 release 2. there is no app in the store called PS Store. Are you from New Zealand?

Re: sony tablet s support

The app isn't on the store. It is shipped with the firmware. It is, for lack of a better term, what people often refer to as "bloatware"; the software included with the phone/tablet by the manufacturer.
