A question about 3rd person view

Did anyone notice that when starting a new game, the 3rd person view point is far enough back that you can see almost the whole character. But after a while the 3rd person view point is a lot closer to the character and stays that way? I like exploring in 3rd person and combat in 1st person, but now the character takes up most of the screen so I can't really use the 3rd person view anymore! Is their an option or button press that I'm missing? Sorry if any of this sounds stupid.

Please use plain text.

I think if you hold in R3 you can use the left joystick to zoom the camera in and out in 3rd person.

Re: A question about 3rd person view

i generally do everything in third person mode... the only time the camera adjusts itself closer whhen i have weapons out is if i am going through a tight cave/tunnel, and once i am through it streches back out again.(only time i use 1st person mode is if i am looking for something like i handle or lever that i am having trouble spotting.

Re: A question about 3rd person view

The 3rd person character takes up most of the screen so you can't see much. the only solution i've found is taking out weapons (or fists, large weapons take up space too!) so that's how i fixed it. I prefer seeing stuff around me not just in front of me at the time like 1st person
