I have a lot of crap in a house I bought witch I don't want so I want to do a bit of spring cleaning. I have loads of dragon bones witch says the value is 500 each. I also have some crap weapons what has a value between 300 and 500 coins. But I really don't know many places that give a decent price.

I can't really offer any advice,but tell you what i have been doing

The shopkeeper in Whiterun has 700+gold on him,so i have been going to him,take note that his 700 gold regens every 48hrs

if you buy something off him,that money will go towards his overall monies,for example i bought a cure disease potion from him and every 48hrs he now regens 900+gold

I can't really say whether he is good for selling your stuff,probably not,but i was picking up that much stuff during missions and quests that he was my too go(fast travel) person,and i easily made up my 5k to buy my house(and extra 2k to do it up)...now i mainly just dump everything into a chest in my house,until i need some money again

you can also find Necklaces to wear that give you 10% more in shops(Amulet of Zenithar)

The shopkeeper in Whiterun has a terrible rate, as do some of the others I have come across. I'm hoping the Thieves guild fences will have better rates once I join. At the minute, it seems wise to hoard the really valuable gear until you can find a better rate or increase speechcraft.

Yeah you need to up your speachcraft to get better rates, good way todo this is find something light you can farm loads of quickly then sell them 1 at a time (not all in 1 transaction) as it ads more to your speachcraft every time you sell or buy, say you have a tonne of iron arrows, they weigh nothing so you can take loads to sell, may take a while though
