Ah OK, the problem is directly related to the Save File size but the size is not the cause. The cause is the memory cache, which is why the save file size is a good indication of whether you'll have problems. Basically the more stuff the game (your save file) is tracking the more information is required to be stored live in the memory cache. The problem is that over time the cache, which is continually emptied and rewritten, becomes full of left over information which clogs to whole system up.

Mines about 9mb atm, probably over that, but the problem only starts after about 4 hours of playing, just quiting the game and then going back on again seems to sort it out for me. It is still really annoying though, hopefully they'll patch it soon.

Me too. Completeing quests and ridding myself of loot does nothing to reduce the game save file size either.

I was still at the stage that a restart seemed to sort it, but the last restart left me with a battle that drastically reduced framerate to near unplayable standard. It seemed ok after that, from the little I played, but haven't encountered any battles of that scale since.

It'll be a shame to leave the game in hope of a patch, but I can't stand the thought of this game getting to the same dreadful standards that my 360 version of Oblivion got to, forcing me to quit playing a game I'd enjoyed more than any other.

Don't think i'm going to play any more unless they fix it...   If they don't i'm getting a refund for it.
