Hello I've just done the bit were you help a girl practice here magic in the college then fast travelled to witchmist grove (it was the closest I could get to my next mission for the college) when it loaded there was a dragon flying about so I killed it, then nothing happened no soul absorb or nothing?

So I loaded up the save before the fast travel went back to the grove killed the dragon and it was the same again nothing?

So im thinking if im not absorbing dragon souls there's not much point playing

then I thought I'd ask on here if it's happend to anybody and if it was the same on the next dragon or it sorted itself out and I can carry on happily slaying dragons  thanks pemz

I was robbed of a dragon soul once, but it worked fine for the ones after that so it might be just a one off bug at a certain point in the game. I believe I was doing some College quests at the time as well.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. Only one way to find out, go and find another dragon

it'll catch up with you.... i have had the same thing happen to me, then anywhere from 10minutes to hours later i'll just randomly give me a dragon soul.

  Happened to me once about 15 dragon slays ago. Hasn't happened since. And I hope never again.

Thanks for the reply's i've carried on with the game and hopefully it was just that one dragon, if not i'll start again =(

I'm experiencing the same problems

Had no problems before absorbing dragon souls but couple days ago i came across a dragon, killed it.... but nothing..?

thought nothing of it but today i played it again .. killed a dragon.. and still nothing..

im only on level 38 and to be honest i never had a problem absorbing dragon souls untill after i downloaded the latest patch which supposedly fixes all major bugs =/

i sure as hell aint starting again, even though i really love this game ive put in way to many hours to do all this again

Try spending some dragon souls in the shouts menu some of them need unlocking by spending dragon souls i had the issue myself spent a few souls and started absorbing souls again.

just killed another dragon and still no soul

I have had the same problem. It's always when I randomly encounter a dragon out and about. If I go to a dragon lair then I always get the soul. I have missed about 5 in total I think. But I do still get them from others. It always seems kind of hit and miss to me.
