Point of no return in Skyrim?

Is there a PONR in Skyrim like in Fallout 3 and NV? So in other words, once the main questline is comlete can i still free roam and complete the side quests?

Tendō Sōji!'

'Grandmother said this: "Walking the path of Heaven, the man who will rule everything." Tendou Souji!'

Re: Point of no return in Skyrim?

Aside from the game lag at +11mb save file size :smileywink: , there is no 'real' PONR in Skyrim. Even after the main storyline and major random quests there are still the radiant quests which are generated as and when.

Re: Point of no return in Skyrim?

Sorry to go slightly off topic but Is there any faction quests that conflict with each other i.e if I join one I cannot join another?

I ''think'' this is the case with the Stormcloaks and Imperials? But is there any others like with the Dark Brotherhood etc?

My save has just hit 10MB and as soon as I discovered Dawnstar my game started to stutter seriously :smileysad: Saying that, I had been playing it for several hours straight and after the reboot it was aright again for the rest of the night.

well then instead of taking my thread off track, why not create a new one asking that question???????

Re: Point of no return in Skyrim?

Because I can, and I did to save space when it can be answered here.

Duh! its relavent as it also has a point of no return when the story (that's what your talking about here :smileywink:) splits between 2 factions and you hit the point of no return (another part of your topic :smileywink:

a point of no return refers to when you will be unable to play the game again outside of a linear pathway once you pass it.

Re: Point of no return in Skyrim?

to answer both questions in this thread....

There is no point of no return in the game, i have completed all main quests and all 4 major side quest lines and can still walk around doing stuff

regarding conflicting questlines, as far as i can remember there are no conflictions as such, however there is a situation later in the game where

Spoiler
if you don't kill a certain thing (which is optional to kill) then a certain group of people will not work with you until you do kill him.

only put spoiler over that because it does hint at something some people may not want to know yet, though i have not mentioned who or what!!

Just do what I did,use this lovely website here. :smileywink:

 http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quest_Timing

This particular page tells you what quests are best done when, though of course it's always completely up to you.

And I've just noticed one I should have done ages ago,poo :smileysad:
