sorry but this is ridiculous

even after the latest patch which supposedly fixes the main bugs im experiencing an even more broken game.

biggest issue im having right now is not absorbing any dragon souls, i have 0 souls to use in my shouts menu and still im unable to absorb anything.

Had an epic fight with a frost dragon and was hoping for a finale but i stood there infront of him waiting for nothing.. 

I really dont want to shelf this game but it looks like its heading in that direction. im on level 38 and put in hours upon hours into the game for it to just break on me ??

Try creating a fresh new manual save exit the game and power the PS3 off restart the game and continue on your fresh save. 

It might also be worth forwarding the in game days forward a few days by pressing select and wait for 24 hours and repeat this process several times. 

Hopefully doing this will clean up any game world data up a bit i would suggest disabling the save on wait auto save when doing this. 

I had no problems whatsoever after the last patch the only auto save i had enabled was save on travel and regular multiple manual saves incase of any issues.

Already created a new manual save as soon as i downloaded the latest patch even though i wasnt experiencing any problems at all.

Just sucks because i got 3 new shouts to unlock and i've killed 3 dragons and still no dragon souls.

dont get me wrong skyrim is one of the best games ive ever played but if theres bugs in this that are restricting me fully enjoying it id rather put it away

There is a note on this page of the UESPWiki that indicates that sometimes Dragon Souls are not granted.

I've never had it happen to me though.

lol i own a ps3 console.. and no i wont go and purchase a PC for the sake of playing the exact same game i already own?

I have no idea what Mitzibishi was on about - as if anyone here would be talking about playing Skyrim on a laptop, let alone a MacBook.

But he does sort of have a point about PC gaming.  I probably will buy the NEXT Elder Scrolls game for the PC instead of the PS3 (unless the PS4 arrives soon enough and blows my mind).
