save game corrupt and also start of massive lags and juddering.

[ Edited ]

My save game is about 6mb at the moment and i noticed things are not working right.

For example at 5.3mb save the issues started with the wood cutting at the windmill (rivertown) can't do it now, the save is "laggy" and doesn't start the animations.

The quests you do for the blacksmith like create a dagger etc also no longer trigger to the next part of the quest it's constantly stuck with an arrow over his head after completing.

Can no longer see what people have for sale because the menu will not pop up/change to interact with the shopkeeper.

At a 6mb save my game is barely moving, juddering, framerate drops and it's such a shame... i have a backup with psn+ but i fear its the 5.3mb one and if it is.. then it's pretty much game over for me already.. AIN'T STARTING AGAIN.

I quite far into the story already and came back for some quick cash to cut wood for 30 gold for each time.

SO LAME!!!!!!!

im having some trouble with skyrim too,im about 9 hrs in and have just beat my first dragon, but for some reason everytime i push o and try to use the magic menu my game freezes resulting in a ps3 reboot,i tried to reload from previous auto/manual saves but it still happens everytime, all the other menus work fine.. pretty gutted tbh :smileysad:

well after i reloaded a save and backtracked a couple of missions, the same thing happens.

Soon as i complete a quest it basically doesn't work anymore. (interactions, shops etc)

Now I can't pick options to accept any quests lol... lame as lame can get!

As for the woodcutting? hehe... after i loaded to try it again it did all this teleportation stuff doing all the actions i picked in the previous load.. so messed up it's a joke! after that it froze and had a seizure.

I can't access ps+ gamesave till 8:44am tomorrow, if that doesn't work, then i suppose i'll just sell this game..it'll be only the 2nd game i have ever sold on the ps3, i don't think it will ever be fixed.

Whatever i do my gamesave is going to exceed 5mb and thats where my problems began in the first place.

So i'll be back to the start of the circle again.

If it wasn't that i was level 23 and spent to many hours on the game, i'd try again.. but why should i?

Bugged game is bugged.

Re: save game corrupt and also start of massive lags and juddering.

i think i figured out what caused my magic menu screen to bug out and freeze,im pretty sure it was because of the shrine located inside the hall of death, reason being is that just before using said shrine my magic menu was fine, this time when i reloaded my save instead of just leaving the area and trying the menu (which still froze my ps3) i went to the shrine beside the tree in riverwood, once i actived this shrine my problem vanished instantly and my magic menu now works again (yay)

i also ran into another bug while using a grain mill,if u push R3 to go into first person view while your character is using the mill he gets stuck for a few seconds (sometimes he gets stuck for good) and then you'll find your circle button has been disabled..the only way i could fix it was to reload my save..

i would also advise people to turn off all autosaves from the game settings,i find the game runs a lot smoother with less stuttering when loading areas, also theres talk of the autosave causing corrupted saves..

skyrim is an awsome game (potentially game of the year) but bugs like this and whats happened to symonator are gamebreaking....how/why they didnt squash these bugs in QA/testing is beyond me..

Hmm i did this too and in the same area i started getting isssues.

I'll see if this helps by not doing it..who knows lol.

In other news, seems like it's not just me, just reading the offical forums.. not pretty.

Re: save game corrupt and also start of massive lags and juddering.

heres my issues..

Here is a video of my problems...
You can see how nothing works.... savefile is bigger now 7.4mb and i stole 2 items which was a piece of cheese and a skull and that added 1mb lol!!!!
You can also see how i don't get arrested for stealing and how woodcuting doesn;t work, or how no npc will interact as intended.. annoying.....i want to play this game but i don't want to start again.
Lagging and stuttering aswell :smileyindifferent:
If they fix it in a patch cool i'll stop moaning, if they don't then i'll just have to move on, shame because i do want to play it really.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P5W1n2gJeY

It's deffo a gamesave filesize issue, reading forums and anyone over 5.3mb starts getting lag and game becomes unstable and jerky... then eventually similar things happen to what i have.
People under 5mb seem to be absolutely fine. :-t
