skyrim, need advice.

Okay, my character is an imperial. I'm like level 17, leveled up my health, stamina and magick, and not spent any of my perks because am confused. lol So far been using heavy armour and sword and shield, so that would be the obvious perks to improve, but i am now considering being a mage, after i just visited that mage college.

So my question is, is it worth leveling up both my magick and one handed perks equally resulting in a decent character suitable to most situations or just sticking with one? And how to recharge my weapons which have been drained of magick? it says, press R2 to recharge, but am missing stuff needed, what do i need to recharge? Thanks

Re: skyrim, need advice.

im no expert at all and only level 30, so cant really offer advice that you probably dont already know, but ive had situations where some areas of magic (ie destruction, restoration, alteration) come in handy, yet also armour and weapon skills aswell. not to mention the obvious sneaking/archery combo too. the all-rounder seems to work well.

maybe just picking perks that you think look useful to you and ones youd use or have been using, doesnt seem like you can go completely wrong and buy the wrong ones or anything unless you invest in very few combat related ones.

im purely guessing but if you were to go down the mage-only route, youd need to have levelled up less stamina and more magicka? and vice versa with the warrior?

For recharging your weapons you need to have soul gems which come in all sizes and you'll find them in most places you visit.

ive mostly leveled up, health and magic, and a bit of stamina, but my magic is higher cause of the apparell i am wearing which increases magicka and so on, oh yeah forgot about archery, love sneaking in dungeons getting the 2x bonus and instant kill. Thanks for the advice good to know its a bit reassuring that averaging things out might not be too bad. But i will probably lean towards one handed over magic as it seems more effective for me.

Re: skyrim, need advice.

I have been evenly upgrading health, magic and stamina currently playing as Nord mainly concentrating on dual handed weapons nearly maxed then ill mix it up a bit with magic and single handed weapons.

I would suggest changing your standing stone power frequently to help boost which ever skills your trying to master quicker there is one stone that evens quicker skill upgrades across all skills but choosing a specific skill stone is faster.

I would recommend upgrading your stamina a bit more each upgrade increases carrying capacity and getting pickpocket to 50 can unlock perk for deeper pockets definitely need capacity for carrying loot till you can store or sell.
