Just out of curiosity, how many of you are using the classic controls and who prefers the dual sticks method?

I would use dual sticks if the rest of the controls were better so I don't even bother playing this game. Can you send message to ESP that they should include this kind of setup.

R2 = Gas, L2 = Reverse, Double tapping R2 = turbo, Double tapping L2 = Reverse turbo, R1= main gun, L1 = secondary gun, Triangle = Prim. weapon swap, Square = Sec. weapon swap, X = Jump, holding X = strafe, Circle = Handbrake(or what ever was left). Right stick (R3) should be the camera/aim control (for the mines) and L3 vehicle turning. When entering Juggernaught it should be either R1 or triangle.

You can keep the arrow button mapping.

I hope you read this.

Re: Twisted Metal

I would put fire on face buttons and weapons cycle on the other shoulders personally. Moving and shooting is a more frequent event than moving and weapon cycling...

Re: Twisted Metal

Just learn the controls and yes its a difficult game. People these days want everything to be way too easy, like COD. I personally do moderate to well in the online matches now, but not at first. Its frustrating at first but the time is well worth it.

Don't let this game fool you. It looks like a bunch of people just driving around shooting each other. There are already a bunch of us using team work and driving strategies. I feel sorry for any rookie way later down the road coming into this game. Its good youre starting now, just like the rest of us.

But I think the control schemes have been outdated by a long time ago, they are pretty clunky and hard to remember in my opinion. I don't think I would have problems with the game itself but the controls really make a difference for me atleast.

I use the Classic button settings! Because I played so much Twisted Metal 2 in it´s day that It´s still in my fingers and that's why I keep using that setting! Only complaint, why have the "Fire Weapon"-button and "Machine Gun"-button swapped places? I still find that annoying, especially when also playing the older entries in the series...! :smileysurprised:( I vote for a custom button config. update! That way everybody could edit the buttons as they like it the best and no one would be turned of because they don't like the controls!
